Gatheround

2019-2024

I joined Gatheround as their first engineering hire and helped build large parts of the product. We raised a Series A and built a unique audio and video platform for human connection.

Among other things I lead or contributed to

  • the core breakout matching experience, implementing the overall UX and Gatheround's unique matching algorithm
  • an Airtable-backed CMS, driving a rich catalogue of ready-to-go meeting templates boosting activation metrics
  • architecting a rebrand of the entire product without slowing down ongoing feature development
  • coaching peers on best practices regarding React, ClojureScript, functional programming, etc.
